Wiring and air supply basics
A 110 volt solenoid valve is a switch for air, so the electrical side and the air side both need attention. The coil must receive the correct voltage, and the wiring should use connections rated for the load. Loose terminals can overheat and fail at the coil, while a clogged inlet can keep the valve from opening fully even when it is energized.
On the air side, use a clean, dry supply and keep debris out of the inlet. Moisture is the most common reason brass valves stop sealing. Keep pipe thread sealant out of the valve body. When a valve is replaced, check that the new one matches the flow direction marked on the body and that all fittings are tight before testing.
