Bolt-in belts and anchor points
Bolt-in harness belts rely on the anchor points of the seat or vehicle, so the mounting layout matters as much as the belt itself. Before installing, identify each anchor, confirm the bolt size and thread condition, and make sure the webbing runs straight from the buckle to the anchor without twisting. Anchors that are corroded, cracked or loose should be repaired before use, since a belt is only as strong as its mount.
The buckle and pads are worth attention as well. A push button release should operate smoothly, and the buckle should latch with a firm click. Waist pads help spread load and reduce pressure on the hips, but they do not replace a correct belt position.
