Overview
The Westin Sportsman 1-Piece Grille Guard 45-3870 is a polished stainless steel grille guard for the 2016-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the 2019 Silverado 1500 LD. It is a vehicle-specific direct-fit application.
Thick rubber protectors line the uprights, and the center crossbars and headlight area guards use 1.5 in. diameter tubing. Mounting points are provided for optional driving lights.

Driving light mounts and wiring
This polished stainless guard includes mounting points for optional driving lights, which makes it easier to add auxiliary lighting without modifying the frame. Choose lights designed for guard mounting, and match the bracket style to the light housing. Driving lights are a separate purchase, so plan their location before buying.
Wiring is where most installs go wrong. Use a fused relay, a switch within reach of the driver and weather-sealed connectors. Route the harness along existing clips, away from the engine and exhaust. Check the aim after mounting and again after any suspension change, and review local rules on auxiliary lights before driving at night.
Stainless steel suits a guard that carries lights, since it resists corrosion well. Still, inspect the mounting brackets after rough trail use and tighten any loose fasteners.
