Overview
The Rugged Ridge XHD Bowless Soft Top, part number 13751.01, is a black sailcloth top for the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ). It converts a full top into a summer brief style: the top fits over the roll bar and gives a fastback look without the factory soft top frame.
The side windows unzip and stow in a window storage fold built into the top. The factory door surrounds and tailgate bar stay in place.

Sailcloth and roll bar wear
Sailcloth stays flexible when it is cleaned and dried properly, but grit and salt wear the fabric faster than most owners expect. Rinse the top after beach or trail use and let it air dry before folding. Dry storage protects the stitching and the window film from creasing.
A top that fits over the roll bar relies on that bar for its shape. Padding on the bar can compress or split over time, which lets the fabric rub and wear through. Check the contact points each season and replace worn padding before it damages the sailcloth.
