Overview
The Rubicon Express RE1150 is a pair of extended rear sway bar end links for the Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ. The rear ZJ application covers the 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee. These links are a direct replacement for the stock rear end link and accommodate 3.5 to 5 inches of lift.
The links are sold as a pair, positioned at the rear, and the spec sheet lists them as adjustable. Confirm the rear lift height before installing.
Setting the rear geometry
Extended end links change the geometry of the rear sway bar once the rear is raised. The bar’s leverage and angle shift as the body moves away from the axle, so the links set how much the bar can work. Setting the rear height and link length together keeps the bar from pulling unevenly in turns.
After the links are in, the rear of the vehicle should be checked through full travel. Look for contact with the bump stops, shock mounts and brake lines, since a lift can change clearance at the extremes. Early checks are simpler to fix than damage found after a hard trail run.
