Overview
The Power Stop KC1939A-36 is a Z36 Extreme Performance Truck and Tow 1-Click brake kit with calipers for the front of the 2005–2008 Ford F-150 and 2006–2008 Lincoln Mark LT.
The Z36 kit is built for heavy-duty braking, with slotted and cross-drilled rotors and Z36 pads. It is designed to help braking in wet, hot and hilly conditions and when towing at maximum weight.
The kit covers the front axle with vented rotors, aftermarket calipers in a natural color and a direct fit.
Z36 is the line to look at for trucks that tow or carry load. It differs from the Z23 sport kits in using metallic high-friction pads, and the pin bushing kit and Hi-Temp lubricant in the box are for the caliper slide points. Towing brake maintenance
Trucks that tow put more heat into the front brakes, especially on long downhill grades. Z36 pads are designed for heavy-duty braking, and they work best when the rest of the system is sound. Heat cracks, glazing and old fluid all reduce braking capacity.
The pin bushing kit and Hi-Temp lubricant are for the caliper slide points, which must move freely for the pads to release. Clean the slides, remove corrosion, and lubricate the contact areas during installation. Smooth sliding lets the pads wear evenly and retract properly.
Inspect the rotors for hot spots and blue discoloration after heavy use. Let the brakes cool before parking, and avoid holding the pedal on a hill after a long descent.

F-150 years before 2005 or after 2008 are not covered by KC1939A-36. Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
Premium hardware, a pin bushing kit and Hi-Temp lubricant come with the kit, so the caliper slides can be refreshed during installation. Bleed the brakes afterward, which matters for a truck that tows.
