Why shroud fit matters
A radiator fan shroud directs airflow from the fan through the radiator core, so the fan pulls air across the coolant rather than around it. A shroud that is loose, cracked or mounted at the wrong distance from the fan loses airflow. That loss can lead to higher engine temperatures in traffic or during slow trail crawling.
