Overview

Denim versus sail cloth
Denim and sail cloth behave differently in weather. Denim soaks up water and dries more slowly, while sail cloth is woven to shed moisture more readily. Because this cover is made from Black Denim, plan for it to stay damp longer after rain and dry it before storing.
The sport bar sleeves carry the cover’s position, so check them whenever the cover is removed or fitted. Watch for stretched fabric, worn stitching and cracked hook points. On older YJ bars, surface rust can build up where the sleeves sit, so clean that area and dry it before refitting.
If you plan to pair the cover with a Wind Stopper later, measure the front zipper area before ordering. Keep the zipper free of grit, and avoid forcing it when the two pieces are not aligned.

The manufacturer fitment list shows this cover for the 1987–1991 Jeep Wrangler (YJ) in the Base, Islander, Laredo, Renegade, S, Sahara and Sport trims. Later YJ years and the 1997–2006 TJ generation are not on this list.
The sail cloth weight applies to Black Diamond covers, so compare the color before assuming the same fabric. Check the fit for your year before ordering.
