Overview
The G2 Axle and Gear 25-2095 is a minor ring and pinion installation kit for the GM 8.25 Inch IFS front axle. IFS stands for independent front suspension, and the kit supplies the setup parts for a gear change in that front differential when the bearings are being reused.
G2 says the kit is for an installer working on a newer vehicle. The 25-2095 bundles a shim kit, replacement pinion nut, crush sleeve, pinion seal, ring gear bolts, silicone sealer, Loctite and gear marking compound.

Vehicle fitment
G2 provides no vehicle list for the 25-2095 and marks the fit Universal Fit. The kit is made for the GM 8.25 Inch IFS front axle, so it is picked by that axle and not by a named truck or year.
The 25-2095 does not cover other GM axle sizes, which have their own kits, or any rear axle. Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
The IFS front differential is set up like any other, with shims for depth and backlash and marking compound for the contact pattern. No gears are in the 25-2095, so a trained installer is the normal choice, and the differential needs fresh gear oil. Loctite keeps the ring gear bolts from backing out, and the crush sleeve is a one-time part that sets pinion bearing preload. Fresh gear oil is needed after the swap.
