Overview
The DV8 Offroad Stand Up in Bed Tire Carrier in black, part number TCGL-02, is a bed-mounted spare tire carrier for the 2020–2022 Jeep Gladiator. It moves the spare from the cramped factory location to the inside of the bed.
DV8 Offroad builds the carrier from 3/16 inch steel, which it says gives a strong and rigid mounting system that prevents movement on or off road. The carrier adjusts to hold a tire up to 42 inches with any bolt pattern, and because of its universal design it can be run on either side of the bed or as a pair.

Spare tire placement in the bed
A spare carried inside the bed moves the spare off the underbody and keeps the tire out of the weather. Because the carrier stands up in the bed, the tire sits upright and stays visible during loading. It is worth checking the bed floor and tailgate clearance once the tire is in place.
Before carrying a heavy tire, confirm the bed mounts are tight and the carrier is secure. Check the carrier after rough roads, since steel carriers can loosen when the truck flexes. Keep the tire inflated and check its pressure periodically so the carrier is not carrying an underinflated load. Remove the tire before towing a trailer if the carrier blocks access to the bed tie-down points. Store a spare inside the bed rather than leaving it out in sun and wet weather.

Installation notes
The carrier has maximum adjustability for tire size and bolt pattern, so the wheel and tire you plan to carry should be set up on it before it is bolted into the bed.
