Tire clearance and ride height
Ride height and tire clearance are the usual reasons for a small body lift. A one inch lift is modest, so it suits owners who want a little more room for larger tires without a major rebuild, but it still changes how the body sits over the frame.
Extra weight at the front, such as a winch or heavy bumper, can pull the nose down and make the body look low.
