Overview
The Bestop 30 Inch Spare Tire Cover in Black Diamond, part number 61030-35, is a heavy-duty vinyl fabric cover for a spare tire. It protects the spare from salt, road grime and UV rays, so it stays cleaner and better protected when it is carried outside the vehicle.
The cover is color coordinated to match Bestop soft tops. It is universal fit for a 30-32 tire size range, so the spare’s diameter matters more than the vehicle’s make or model.
Key features
- Heavy-duty vinyl fabric construction
- Protects a spare tire from salt, road grime and UV rays
- Black Diamond color, matched to Bestop soft tops
- Sized for a 30-32 tire size range
- Universal fit, not tied to a specific vehicle
Caring for a carried spare
A spare that rides outside the vehicle, on a rear mount or in a truck bed, takes the brunt of road salt and grime. Vinyl is easy to wipe clean, and a quick rinse after winter driving keeps grit from working into the surface. Heavy-duty vinyl resists tearing better than thin fabric, though sharp edges and rough handling can still scuff or split the cover.
Matching the cover color to your soft top keeps the setup looking uniform, but sizing still determines the fit. Vinyl can trap heat in direct sun, so inspect the spare tire for soft spots or uneven wear whenever the cover comes off. Seams and corners tend to wear first, and a split seam should be patched or replaced before it lets water and salt reach the tire.
- Wipe the cover with mild soap after salt exposure
- Check seams and corners for splitting
- Confirm the spare’s diameter before replacing the cover
- Keep the spare tire inflated and inspected
