Overview
The TruXedo Sentry CT, part number TRX1572416, is a hard roll-up tonneau cover for Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups. It is a direct fit for 2019–2021 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models, plus the 2022 Silverado 1500 LTD and 2022 Sierra 1500 Limited.
The cover uses a matte black woven fabric pressure bonded to heavy-duty black aluminum slats. Its Xtra-low profile is designed to sit close to the bed when closed. The cover is opened and closed by hand, and an extra security latch near the center adds protection for items stored in the bed.
Key features
- Hard roll-up design
- Matte black woven fabric bonded to black aluminum slats
- Xtra-low profile look and flush mount profile when closed
- Rolled-up position clears the bed and keeps the rear view and third brake light visible
- Extra security latch near the center
- Manual operation
Hard roll-up care and fit
A hard roll-up cover built from woven fabric and aluminum slats behaves differently from soft covers. The slats carry the rolling action, so the rolled position stays low and clears the bed while keeping the rear view and third brake light visible. Because the panel has aluminum slats, it holds its shape when closed, but it is still not built to bear weight.
Keep the slats and the rolling channels clear of grit so the cover moves evenly. Check the center security latch for smooth action, and inspect the matte black fabric for any lifting along the slat edges. Heavy-duty fit matters too, so confirm the year and trim before ordering.
- Clear grit from the slats and rail channels
- Check the center latch before long trips
- Inspect fabric edges for lifting along the slats
