Description

Overview

The Rubicon Express RE7122T is a 3.5-inch standard coil suspension lift kit for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door. Rubicon Express names the 70th Anniversary, 75th Anniversary, Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Sport S and X trims for this kit.

This is a standard coil system that keeps the factory mounting locations. It includes replacement lift springs, extended bump stops and longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines.

The specifications list a 35-inch tire size, a lift height range of 0 to 3.5 inches, and shocks as included. No shock brand is named for this part number.

Key features

  • 3.5-inch standard coil suspension lift
  • Replacement lift springs and extended bump stops
  • Longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines
  • Shocks included, per the specifications
  • Direct fit to the listed 2007–2018 JK 2-door trims

Standard coil lift basics

A standard coil lift raises the truck by swapping in new coil springs and related hardware while keeping the original suspension layout. That approach is familiar to most shops, but it still changes ride height, which affects steering geometry, brake hose length and the angle of the driveshafts. The front end should be aligned after the install, and the steering should be checked for play.

Replacement lift springs and extended bump stops work as a set, so a worn bump stop can undo some of the benefit of a new spring. Inspect the coils for cracks and the bump stops for cracking or flattening. Brake lines should be checked at full droop and full compression. If the truck is driven off road, check the mounts after each trip for early signs of wear.

  • Check steering play after the first drive
  • Look for cracks in the coil springs
  • Confirm brake line clearance at full droop

Questions & Answers

Does the Rubicon Express RE7122T fit a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara?

Yes. The 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door Sahara fits, which covers 2011 trucks. The Sport and Rubicon 2-door trims also fit.

Does the kit include shocks?

Yes. Shocks are included with the kit, and the length should be checked against the new ride height before installing.

What comes with the stainless brake lines?

Yes. Longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines are part of the kit, along with replacement lift springs and extended bump stops. Route the lines without tension at the new height.

Are replacement lift springs and bump stops worth replacing together?

Yes. The bump stops control travel at full compression, so replacing them with new springs keeps the suspension working as a set. Inspect the old stops for cracking or flattening first, and replace them if they show wear.
