Overview
The Rubicon Express JL7100PB is a 2.5 to 3 inch Super-Ride lift kit with piggyback monotube reservoir shocks for the 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL. It is a direct fit for a wide range of 4-door trims, including Moab, Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Willys and Freedom.
The kit uses coil springs and 2.5-inch diameter floating piston monotube shocks, with a 1.75-inch 4130 chromoly front lower arm. Extended sway bar end links and bump stops are included for off-road use. This is a Super-Ride short arm system with monotube shocks at both ends.
The system provides the height to clear 35-inch tires on loaded non-Rubicon models and 37-inch tires on Rubicon models. The lift height range is 0 to 3.5 inches.

Piggyback reservoir shocks explained
Piggyback reservoir shocks place the gas reservoir alongside the shock body rather than inside it. The separate reservoir gives the damping fluid more room to cool, which helps keep damping consistent on long climbs and descents. That design suits trucks that spend time on rough terrain. Keeping the reservoir clean makes leaks easier to spot during routine checks.
Because the reservoir sits outside the body, the hose and its mounting clamp should be checked for rubbing against the frame or tires. Lift height and shock length work together, so confirm the shock travel after the install. Check the alignment and the sway bar end links at the same time.

Installation notes
With a 2.5 to 3 inch lift and monotube reservoir shocks, the shock length and the alignment both need checking after the install. The sway bar end links should be fitted to the extended positions the kit supplies.
