Overview
The Rubicon Express RE6030 is a 3.5-inch Super-Flex short arm lift kit for the Jeep Cherokee XJ. It is aimed at XJ owners who want a little less lift than the 4.5-inch kit at a lower price. The kit is rated for a 3 to 4.99-inch lift range.
The kit upgrades the lower control arms to Super-Flex front control arms and keeps the stock upper control arms. The system improves trail flexibility while keeping a comfortable street ride. It includes new PT-Meg Super-Ride bushings, replacement front tuned coil springs, replacement rear leaf springs, serviceable Super-Flex spherical ball joints, sway bar disconnects and a stainless steel rear brake line. Shocks are not included.

Alignment and related parts
A short arm lift changes the geometry of the front suspension, so caster, camber and toe should be checked after the lower control arms and springs are replaced. Sway bar disconnects increase articulation off road but reduce body roll control on pavement, so consider how often the vehicle will be driven on road. Worn ball joints and tie rod ends are commonly replaced during the same job, since the new arms move the joints through a different range.
Shocks are a separate purchase with this kit and should be matched to the new ride height. Longer shocks may be needed for a lift, so check the length against the new arm position before ordering. Brake lines should be inspected after the lift because hose and line routing change with the suspension.
