Overview
The Pro Comp 920590B is a PRO-X twin tube shock absorber with a 21.7-inch extended length and a 13.8-inch collapsed length. Pro Comp lists it for Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs, including the Silverado and Sierra 1500 from 1999 to 2006, the Avalanche, Tahoe and Suburban, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and the 2000–2013 Suburban 2500 and Yukon XL 2500.
The PRO-X is a general-purpose twin tube design for trucks used mainly on pavement with occasional off-road driving. Pro Comp describes its 10-stage velocity sensitive valving as suited to varied road conditions, and the 1-3/8-inch nylon banded piston and 5/8-inch chrome hardened shaft are the same core parts as the rest of the line.
This shock uses an upper loop mount and a lower clevis mount, which means the lower end is a different style from the loop eyes on many other PRO-X shocks. The body is black powder coated and nitrogen stabilized, and the shock boot is an optional extra that is not included.

Installation notes
The clevis lower mount needs to match the axle bracket on your truck, so check that before final tightening. Compare the 21.7-inch extended and 13.8-inch collapsed lengths with your installed ride height, and check clearance at full droop.
What’s included
One twin tube shock with a loop upper mount and a clevis lower mount. The boot is listed as an optional extra.
Not included: the optional shock boot.
