Overview
The Poison Spyder 15-19-010-W is a fully welded roll cage for the 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LJ), including the Unlimited Rubicon. It completely replaces the factory cage and arrives ready to bolt into the Jeep, so the owner does not need to weld the parts together.
The cage is built from 100% DOM structural tubing, and the kit is CNC laser notched and NC-bent for a precise fit. It is welded together in precision fabricated assembly fixtures, so owners without access to a welder can bolt it in without welding. DOM stands for drawn over mandrel, a tubing process that is generally stronger than HREW (hot rolled electric welded) tubing.
The LJ full cage uses Poison Spyder’s proprietary Lower A-Pillars. These are engineered to give the forward section of the cage a solid base without intruding into the dash or cutting into legroom. The Lower A-Pillars, gussets and all mounting plates are CNC laser cut and precision brake-formed from high strength 3/16-inch plate steel. This cage needs a soft top with a bow assembly, because bowless soft tops do not work with it.

Fitting a welded cage
A fully welded cage arrives assembled, so the work is mostly about the mounting points and the body. Before fitting, look over the Jeep’s floor, rear and door post areas for rust or old repairs, since the cage depends on that metal to hold its load. Lay out the Lower A-Pillars, gussets and plates so each part goes to its matching mount.
Because the mounts use 3/16-inch plate, the plates should sit flat against the body with no gaps before the bolts are tightened. A soft top with a bow assembly fits over the cage, so confirm the top, bows and cage clear each other before finishing the install. Recheck every bolt after the first trail outings.

Vehicle fitment
It is a direct fit for the 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ) Unlimited, including the Unlimited Rubicon.
It does not fit the 1997–2006 Wrangler TJ, the 2007–2018 Wrangler JK or the 2018–2022 Wrangler JL. Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
The cage is ready to bolt in once it is delivered, so no welding is needed on the Jeep. A soft top with a bow assembly is required. Bowless soft tops are not compatible with this cage, so check the top before ordering.
