Overview
The Go Rhino 8060UC is a multi-fit universal truck bed side rail that works as a grab handle or as an anchor for tie-down straps. It is designed to be installed on a range of vehicles, and installation requires drilling.
Because the rail is universal, it is not tied to a specific make, model or year. Its fit depends on your bed and where you drill, so check the mounting layout before you start.
Key features
- Multi-fit universal design
- Adds an attractive look along the bed rail
- Functions as a grab handle
- Can secure tie-down straps
- Installation requires drilling
Drilling and bed safety
Drilling into a truck bed side is a permanent step, so plan the hole positions carefully before the first bit goes in. Check the area behind the drill point for wiring, fuel lines and brake components, which can sit close to the bed sides on some trucks. Use a center punch and start with a small pilot hole to keep the bit from wandering.
Once the holes are drilled, they need protection from water and rust. Clean any bare metal and apply a rust-inhibiting primer, then seal around each fastener with a suitable sealant. A rail that is firmly fastened and well sealed holds up better on rough roads, so re-check the fasteners after the first few trips.
- Look for wiring before drilling any hole
- Use a pilot hole and a center punch
- Seal bare metal and fasteners after mounting
