Overview
The G2 Axle and Gear 97-2041-005 is a Big Spline chromoly Birfield CV style inner axle shaft with 30 splines for the driver side of the front axle on 1980–1990 Toyota Land Cruiser and 1980–1985 Toyota Pickup models.
Moving from 27 to 30 splines gives a thicker shaft for trucks that see heavy throttle and big tires. This long driver-side shaft fits the Toyota 8 inch front axle. It needs an aftermarket 30 spline CV, so it will not bolt to a stock joint. It is made for 79-85 Toyota P/U and 8/80-1/90 FJ60 Land Cruiser applications.
Moving to a Big Spline shaft is a drivetrain upgrade rather than a like-for-like repair, since it changes the spline count the rest of the front axle has to match.

Pickups after 1985 are outside this fit, and the passenger-side Big Spline shaft is a different part. Confirm fit for your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
