Overview
G2 Axle and Gear’s 1310 Series pinion yoke, part number 90-2034-31U, is a U-bolt style rear yoke for Dana 60, Dana 61 and Dana 70 axles.
It connects a 1310 Series U-joint to the pinion on Dana 60, Dana 61 and Dana 70 axles. U-bolt mounting is a common choice on these axles. The Dana axle types and joint series decide whether it suits your axle.
Key features
- U-bolt style mounting on a 1310 Series joint
- Rear axle location
- It is made for Dana 60, Dana 61 and Dana 70 axle types.
- Part of G2’s line of pinion flanges and yokes
Dana 60 and 70 rear work
Dana 60 and Dana 70 rear axles carry heavy loads, so the pinion yoke works under more stress than many passenger-car parts. A U-bolt yoke puts clamp force on the flange, and that force needs to hold through off road use. Inspect the clamp faces and bolt tension whenever the driveline comes apart.
The 1310 Series joint is sized for these axles, so the joint and yoke should be checked together. Worn joint caps or bearing play can stress a new yoke quickly. Grease the joint as directed for your driveline, and keep the pinion seal dry to protect the bearing surfaces.
- Check U-bolt clamp faces for flat, even contact
- Inspect the U-joint with the yoke
- Keep the pinion seal free of contamination

Vehicle fitment
No vehicle is named for this yoke. The compatibility details are the Dana 60, 61 and 70 axle types and the 1310 Series joint.
Front axles and other Dana designs or joint series do not match this yoke. Confirm fit for your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
U-bolt clamps have to suit the pinion flange, so check them before removing the old yoke. A driveline shop should set pinion bearing preload after the new yoke is installed.
What’s included
The yoke is the only item this part covers. Check U-bolts, pinion nut and seal needs against your installation before starting.
