The Crown Automotive window glass weatherstrip CRO55235404 is an outer rear seal for the driver or passenger side door on the 1984–1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ. It is a full door weatherstrip for the rear outer position.

Sealing and wind noise
A door weatherstrip works by compressing against the door frame when the door closes. Once it hardens, flattens or tears, air and water find a path into the cabin and wind noise increases at speed. Many drivers notice the problem first as a whistle near the window or damp carpet after rain.
Before fitting a new seal, clean the mounting channel and the frame surface so the adhesive or clip seats properly. Dry the channel thoroughly, and check the drain holes at the bottom of the door. If the old seal crumbles in pieces, remove the remnants completely so the new one can sit flush against the frame.
