Overview
The Bestop Sport Bar Cover in Spice, part number 80020-37, is a padded fabric cover for factory sport bars. The Spice color is matched to Bestop soft top and bikini accessories, so the cover coordinates with the rest of that line.
Deep foam padding and a zipper closure make the cover straightforward to fit. The kit also includes separate covers for Wrangler horizontal bars.
Key features
- Spice color with a clean, custom look
- Deep foam padding
- Zipper installation
- Mildew-resistant fabric that contains UV inhibitors
- Industrial strength thread
- Separate covers for Wrangler horizontal bars included in the kit
Caring for the fabric
The cover’s fabric is mildew-resistant and contains UV inhibitors, which helps it handle damp weather and sun exposure. Sun still breaks down fabric over long periods, so store the cover out of direct light when the vehicle is parked for extended time, and let it dry fully before folding it away.
Check the zipper and the stitching every few months. Industrial strength thread is used for the seams, but a stretched zipper or a worn seam near the bar contact points can let the cover slip. Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth and mild soap, rinse, and air dry. Avoid harsh solvents that can strip the finish or weaken the fabric treatment.
- Rinse off salt and sand after trail use
- Keep the zipper clean and lightly lubricated
- Replace the cover if the padding is compressed or torn
