Overview
The AIRAID Synthaflow Cold Air Dam Air Intake System, part number EVE200-112-1, is a cold air intake for listed 1999–2007 Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac full-size trucks and SUVs. This version reuses the factory inlet tube and uses an oil-type filter in a partial enclosure housing.
The inlet track and filter combination flows less restrictively than the original configuration, which can support more available horsepower.

Reusing the factory inlet tube
Reusing the factory inlet tube keeps the stock intake path in place, so start by checking that tube for cracks, softening or loose mounts. Damage at the tube joint can let unfiltered air enter the engine. Confirm the tube is secure before fitting the filter housing, and check it again after the first heavy drives.
Full-size GM trucks and SUVs often carry heavier loads, so the mounts and factory tube see more vibration over time. An oil-type filter in a partial enclosure needs periodic cleaning and re-oiling, and keeping the filter dry when washing the engine bay makes that routine easier. Check the filter after towing, off-road use or dusty trips.
