Overview
The RE4045 is a pair of upper rear Tri-Link control arms for the Jeep Wrangler TJ and LJ. The arms also cover the ZJ Grand Cherokee.
The left and right arms are adjustable and use Super-Flex joints for increased axle articulation. They are made from 4130 Chromoly tube measuring 1.5 inches by 1/4 inch wall, and they are the driver and passenger side upper rear long arms.

Tri-Link arms and axle control
Tri-Link arms locate the axle and control its fore and aft position, so the upper arms work with the lower arms to resist wind-up under acceleration and braking. When a long arm is replaced, the axle’s geometry changes slightly, which is why alignment and clearance checks matter after the job.
Joints wear over time, and articulation can make a worn joint noisy or loose. Inspect the joint ends for play and the boots for tears, especially after rock crawling or deep water. Adjustable arms also need their locking hardware checked, since a length change that moves under load can alter the pinion angle.

Vehicle fitment
The arms are for the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) and the 2004-2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ), with ZJ Grand Cherokee applications also covered.
The arms do not cover the Wrangler YJ, JK or JL, or Grand Cherokee models other than the ZJ. Do not assume they fit those vehicles. Match your year, model and trim against the fitment above before buying.
Installation notes
Suspension, steering and brake parts are safety-critical, so professional installation is recommended. Support the vehicle on rated jack stands, never on a jack alone. Follow the vehicle’s own service instructions and tighten all fasteners to the torque values for your model. Re-check fasteners after the first miles of driving and after off-road use. Have the alignment checked after any suspension or steering work, and confirm that brake lines, hoses and wiring have full clearance through suspension travel.
