Description

Overview

The Rubicon Express RE7122PT is a 3-3.5 inch standard progressive coil suspension lift kit with twin tube shocks for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door. It fits the 70th Anniversary, 75th Anniversary, Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Sport S and X trims.

A short arm suspension that keeps the factory mounting locations, the kit ships with replacement lift springs, extended bump stops and longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines.

Twin tube shocks are included at the front and rear. The specifications list a 35-inch tire size and a lift height range of 0 to 3.5 inches.

Key features

  • Twin tube shocks at the front and rear, included
  • Progressive coil springs as the replacement lift springs
  • Extended bump stops
  • Longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines
  • Direct fit to the listed 2007–2018 JK 2-door trims

Twin tube shock care

Twin tube shocks use one main tube with a reserve chamber between the body and the reservoir, which keeps them simple to service and suited to daily driving. They are generally less costly to replace than remote reservoir designs. Pairing them with progressive coil springs changes how the truck handles bumps, so the shock damping should be checked once the new springs are in place.

Look for oil seepage around the shock body, worn eye bushings and cracked dust boots. Any of these signs means the shock is losing control, and the ride will feel loose, especially on washboard roads. Keep the mounting hardware tightened to the correct torque, and recheck it after the first few drives.

  • Inspect shock eyes and bushings at each service
  • Watch for oil on the shock body
  • Replace worn dust boots before they tear
