Overview
The Pro Comp 924560 is an ES9000 Series shock absorber with a nitrogen gas charged twin tube design. The series is built for heavy loads, and the 924560 is sold as one shock.
The 10 stage velocity sensitive valving gives a smooth, comfortable highway ride and helps control movement off road. A 1 3/8 inch nylon banded full displacement piston head works with double welded mounts for strength.
This is a universal fit shock, so no specific vehicle is named. Match its extended and collapsed lengths and mount style to your vehicle before ordering.

Inspecting and replacing shocks
A shock absorber controls how quickly the suspension compresses and rebounds after a bump. On the road it keeps the tires in contact with the pavement and limits body roll in corners. Off road it manages repeated impacts from rocks and ruts, which is where wear shows first. Because damping changes as the piston moves, a tired shock can make steering feel vague and let the body bounce after a dip.
Work through the mounting bushings and bolts whenever a shock comes out, and look at the rod for scoring or oil residue. Keep the old unit until the new one is installed so you can compare lengths and mount positions side by side. After the first few drives, check the hardware again, since fasteners can settle as the bushings seat.
