The Pro Comp K4209BF is a 6-inch stage 2 lift kit with FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP shocks for the 2017–2018 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty. It is a direct fit for the King Ranch, Lariat, Limited, Platinum, XL and XLT versions of both Super Duty models.

Key features

  • 6-inch stage 2 lift for the 2017–2018 Super Duty
  • FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP shocks
  • Radius arms as the rear lift component
  • Lift height range of 6 to 7 inches
  • Direct fit for the 2017–2018 Super Duty trucks named under vehicle fitment

Before you install

A stage 2 lift raises the truck and changes how the suspension holds the axle in place. Radius arms control forward and rearward axle movement, so they take over a job the factory leaf springs or control arms handle at stock height. Once the arms are in, the pinion angle and the driveshaft angles should be measured, since a higher body position can change both.

Before you start, look over the brake lines, the sway bar links, and the wiring that runs to the front and rear axle. Extended brake hoses and longer sway bar links are often needed on lifted trucks, so compare them against your setup. A full alignment after the work is done helps the tires wear evenly and keeps steering predictable on the road.

Shock absorbers work with the new geometry, so the IFP design needs room to move through its full travel. Inspect the old bushings and mounts during the swap, since worn parts are much easier to replace while the axle is already out.

  • Measure driveshaft angles after installation
  • Inspect brake lines and sway bar links
  • Re-torque fasteners after the first drives
  • Plan a professional alignment

Vehicle fitment

It fits the 2017–2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty and the 2017–2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty in the King Ranch, Lariat, Limited, Platinum, XL and XLT versions.

The kit covers 2017–2018 Super Duty trucks only, so 2016 and older and 2019 and newer models fall outside its fit. Confirm fit for your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.

Installation notes

Radius arms set the rear axle location, so the driveline angles and the alignment should be checked once the stage 2 lift is installed.

Questions & Answers

What shock series does the K4209BF use?

The kit uses FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP shocks, and the shocks come included with the kit. They are part of the package, so separate shocks are not needed for this lift.

Will the Pro Comp K4209BF fit a 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty Platinum?

Yes. The 2017–2018 F-250 Super Duty is in the listed fitment, and the Platinum is one of the versions named. Check the Platinum entry and your model year in the list before buying.

Does the K4209BF fit a 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

No. The listed fitment covers the 2017 and 2018 Super Duty trucks only, so 2019 and newer models are not included.

How often should radius arm bushings be inspected?

Inspect them during regular maintenance and any time the truck shows clunking or uneven tire wear. Worn bushings change axle position, so replacing them as needed keeps the geometry close to how the kit was set up.
