Overview
The Poison Spyder Ricochet Rockers in bare steel, part number 14-50-050, are rocker armor with a combined 5 inch step and slider, made for the Jeep TJ, YJ and CJ7. The Ricochet Rocker is available for Jeep TJ, Unlimited, YJ, CJ7 and CJ8, . Its dimpled step plate also works as a foothold when entering or leaving the vehicle.
The Ricochet Rocker is built with the same hardcore construction as Poison Spyder’s Rocker Knocker, with a step added to the front. It can be used alone or together with Crusher Corners, and the two body armor pieces meet at the rear flare, so together they guard the body from the front wheel well to the tailgate.

Rocker armor and body protection
Rocker armor protects the lower body from rocks, stumps and brush, and it can also serve as a step. The guard’s shape and where it attaches to the body or frame affect how much impact the body takes. Corner armor and rocker armor work together to protect the wheel area, so the pieces should be fitted and checked as a set.
Bare steel armor will rust at the cut edges and welds if left unprotected, so a primer and paint coat is a common step. Rubber liners or a sealant between the armor and the body help limit paint wear and noise. After the first few trail trips, check the bolts and the step plate for loose hardware or bent edges.

Vehicle fitment
The rockers are named for Jeep TJ, Unlimited, YJ, CJ7 and CJ8. The TJ, YJ and CJ7 have three dimples, while the Unlimited and CJ8 have four, so count the dimples on your Jeep before ordering.
Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering. Rubber liners are sold separately and are not included.
Installation notes
The rockers are secured with countersunk 3/8 inch stainless hardware, and detailed instructions are supplied with the kit. Cutting or drilling is required to mount them. If you want to protect the paint underneath, a precision cut rubber liner is available separately and fits between the rocker and the body.
