Overview
The Poison Spyder Brawler Rockers in bare steel, part number 18-08-200, are two-piece mini-boatside rocker armor for the Jeep JK, written for 4-door models. Each piece is cut and brake-formed from 3/16 inch plate steel. The armor adds a protruding rub rail, a boatside profile and an entry step to the rocker area of the vehicle.
The Brawler Rocker protects the rocker sheet metal that is vulnerable on a JK, and the boatside shape lets the Jeep slide off obstacles and back onto the trail. The protruding rub rail keeps trees and rock walls away from the doors. The Brawler Rockers are not compatible with body lifts.

Protecting the rocker area
Rocker sheet metal sits low on the body, where it is exposed to rocks, stumps and ledges. Damage here can distort the doors and make entry harder, and a bent rocker can also weaken the body mounts. Armor that bolts to the body and resists the first impact keeps that damage from reaching the factory metal.
Because rocker armor takes the hits, it is worth checking the fasteners and mounting points after each rough run. Look for loose nut-serts, cracked welds or bent edges. If the armor has been struck hard, inspect the doors and body mounts for alignment, since a shifted panel can rub or fail to latch correctly.

Vehicle fitment
The Brawler Rockers are written for the Jeep JK, 4-door models. The JK is the Wrangler (JK), 2007 to 2018. Confirm your Jeep is a 4-door JK and that it does not have a body lift before ordering, because these armor pieces are not compatible with body lifts.

Installation notes
The upper piece attaches to the body tub with stainless flat-head cap screws and nut-serts. The lower piece attaches to the upper piece with flat-head screws and clip-nuts, and at the body mounts underneath. Cutting or drilling is required, and all fastener holes are countersunk for a flat surface.
The lower piece also attaches at the body mounts, which ties the armor into the frame for added strength.
