Overview
The ARB Shackle And Pin Kit OMEGS9 is a rear greasable shackle kit for Jeep Wrangler TJ, LJ and JK models and the 1960–1980 Toyota Land Cruiser Base.
Its bolt-together design and grease outlets are the same as the rest of ARB’s greaseable shackle line.
Key features
- Rear position
- Greasable design with two grease outlets per pin
- Bolt-together assembly
- Fits Jeep Wrangler TJ, LJ and JK.
- Fits 1960–1980 Toyota Land Cruiser Base.
Matching the kit to your vehicle
Wrangler generations differ in frame, spring and shackle layout, so a shackle kit should be matched to the exact generation and trim before it is ordered. The TJ, LJ and JK each use their own mounting positions, and a kit that fits one may not seat correctly on another. Keeping the old shackle part numbers and photos makes the comparison easier.
Shackle kits are often fitted alongside new leaf springs, bushings and sometimes a suspension lift. When the spring is changed to a taller or stiffer unit, the shackle angle changes too, so the kit should be checked for clearance and travel. Greasing the pins during installation and inspecting the hanger for wear at the same time saves a second job later.
- Compare old and new shackle lengths
- Check spring eye and bushing condition
- Confirm grease fittings can be reached
