Overview
The Moog alignment cam is a steering and suspension part sold individually for two Jeep applications. The copy says it fits the 1997 to 2006 TJ Wrangler, including Rubicon and Unlimited models, and the 1993 to 1998 ZJ Grand Cherokee. An alignment cam is a camber and caster adjusting part, so it changes how the wheel sits relative to the vertical, and it is installed on the axle or control-arm mount where the factory fastener sits.
MOOG says its Problem Solver line is designed for like-new steering, straightforward installation and longer life. The brand describes the parts as the preferred steering and suspension components of professional technicians, a claim this description does not test. The copy describes the product as direct fit, with a patent pending Sunoloy coated bearing and a cover plate design the company says allows tighter tolerances than traditional designs.
Key features
- Powdered metal gusher bearing design, which lets grease flow through the bearing to the stud, per MOOG
- Patented cover plate design that MOOG says allows tighter tolerances
- Full ball metal stud, which MOOG says provides 360 degrees of rotational movement
- Patent pending Sunoloy coated metal bearings for smooth stud swing
- Direct fit, per the copy

Vehicle fitment
The copy names two applications. The first is the 1997 to 2006 TJ Wrangler, including Rubicon and Unlimited models. The second is the 1993 to 1998 ZJ Grand Cherokee. Both are identified by year and chassis, so you can match your vehicle directly. Other Wrangler generations and Grand Cherokee years are not covered by this description.
Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
An alignment cam changes the camber setting, so the front end needs a four-wheel alignment once the part is installed. Because the cam is set during alignment, the work is normally done in a shop with alignment equipment.
What’s included
One alignment cam, sold individually.
Not included: The copy describes a single part, so any mounting hardware or companion parts for the second side need to be purchased separately.
