Description

Overview

The Rancho RS62101 is an axle side track bar bracket for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK). It fits 2 and 4-door models. It raises the axle side track bar mount and relocates the factory or aftermarket steering stabilizer.

It reduces body roll and improves overall handling. It is a direct bolt-on design with a powdercoat finish. It is one of Rancho’s RockGEAR components and carries a limited one year warranty from Rancho.

Key features

  • Raises the axle side track bar mount
  • Relocates the factory or aftermarket steering stabilizer
  • Direct bolt-on design
  • Powdercoat finish
  • Fits 2 and 4-door models
  • Reduces body roll and improves overall handling

Choosing the right setup

A track bar keeps the axle centered side to side, and its bracket sets the height and angle of the track bar mount on the axle. Raising that mount changes the track bar angle, so the bar and bracket should be considered together when a suspension is lifted. Check that the new geometry leaves enough room for the steering stabilizer and tie rod, and that nothing rubs at full steering lock.

Brackets are often installed alongside track bar bushings, a steering stabilizer and other suspension work, because a change to one part shifts the loads on the others. Stabilizer mounts in particular should be checked for clearance once the bracket is in place. Recheck the hardware after the first few drives, since new brackets can settle as the mounts seat.

  • Look for cracks or weld fatigue at the bracket’s mounting points
  • Inspect track bar bushings for wear or play
  • Recheck bolt torque after the first few drives
  • Confirm steering stabilizer clearance at full lock

Questions & Answers

Does the Rancho RS62101 fit a 2007 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK?

Yes. It fits the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK) in several trims, including the Rubicon, Sahara, Sport and X, plus the Unlimited versions. Confirm your year, model and trim before ordering.

Does it fit two-door or four-door Wranglers?

It fits 2 and 4-door models. The fit covers the standard Wrangler JK trims and the Unlimited trims, so both body styles are covered.

What does this bracket do?

It raises the axle side track bar mount and relocates the factory or aftermarket steering stabilizer. This reduces body roll and improves handling. It bolts on directly.

What finish and warranty does it have?

It has a powdercoat finish. RockGEAR components carry a limited one year warranty from Rancho, and this bracket is one of those components.

Should the track bar bushings be replaced when a bracket is installed?

Inspect them first. Worn or cracked bushings add play to the track bar, and a new bracket does not correct that. Replace them when they show wear so the bar stays aligned with the axle.
