Overview
The Skyjacker B8387 is a Black MAX shock absorber listed for the 2018–2020 Jeep Wrangler (JL) and the 2020 Jeep Gladiator (JT). Skyjacker gives two lift ranges for this shock, 3 to 4 inches for the front and 1 to 3 inches for the rear, so the shock is matched to the lift height in use.
It is a twin tube hydraulic shock with vehicle-specific multi-stage valving. Skyjacker’s foam-cell design lets the shock mount at 180 degrees and removes air inside the shock.

Vehicle fitment
Skyjacker lists the B8387 for the 2018–2020 Jeep Wrangler (JL), in two-door and four-door Unlimited models, and for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator (JT), including the Launch Edition, Overland, Rubicon, Sport and Sport S models.
The list does not cover the 2021 and later JL or Gladiator years, or the Wrangler JK. Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
This shock lists separate lift ranges for the front and rear, so measure the lift at each end of your Jeep before ordering. Have the alignment checked after the shocks are replaced.
