Overview
The Rough Country 5-inch suspension lift kit for the 5th generation Ram 1500, part number R/C33830A, fits the 2019–2026 Ram 1500 in Big Horn, HFE, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, Limited, Limited Longhorn, Lone Star, Rebel, Special Service, TRX, TRX Launch Edition and Tradesman versions. It is designed for air-ride models.
The kit gives the truck increased ground clearance and enough added ride height for tires up to 35 inches. It includes front and rear crossmembers with a laser-cut RC logo, and the crossmembers give a streamlined look after lifting.
The kit ships with a set of rear N3 nitrogen-charged shock absorbers, valved for a blend of on-road and off-road use. The front shocks are reused from the vehicle, so the factory front shocks stay in place.

Air-ride and coil suspensions
Air-ride suspensions use air springs that can be adjusted or deflated, while coil setups rely on steel springs. A lift built for one design does not translate directly to the other, so the suspension type should be identified before any parts are chosen. Tire clearance, bump stop position and the shock mounting points all depend on the system the truck came with.
Parts that are often replaced with a lift include the tie-rods, ball joints and brake lines, since the geometry and hose lengths change. Regular inspection of the drop brackets and crossmembers helps catch shifting or fatigue early. Bushings and the steering linkage should be checked after the first few drives on the new setup.

Air-ride models are the intended fit. Ram 1500 model years before 2019, and Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, are not covered.

Installation notes
