Overview
The Pro Comp 58251 is a 2.5 inch rear lift block kit for leaf spring vehicles. It includes two tapered cast iron riser blocks and the hardware needed to fix them to the rear spring packs.
The taper is designed to help driveshaft angles. Measure your rear axle and leaf spring pack before ordering, and confirm the year, model and trim.
Key features
- 2.5 inch rear lift
- Tapered cast iron riser blocks
- Four U-bolts with washers and nuts
Installing riser blocks on leaf springs
Setting riser blocks correctly starts with centering each block on its spring and checking that the U-bolts seat squarely. The blocks should sit level against the spring pack, and the U-bolts should clear the axle housing without pinching. Take time over the first installation, because a misaligned block can shift under load and loosen the hardware.
After the first drives, re-check the nuts and look for movement between the block and the spring. Leaf springs settle as they seat, so retightening is normal early on. Inspect the washers for flattening and the U-bolt bends for cracks at each service, and keep a note of the torque you applied for future reference.
- Center each block on its spring
- Confirm U-bolts clear the axle housing
- Re-tighten nuts after the first drives
- Inspect washers and bends at each service
