Overview
The Bilstein BIL22-249357 is a front B6 Series suspension strut assembly for the 2015 to 2021 Ford Transit van. It fits the Transit-150, Transit-250, Transit-350 and Transit-350 HD.
Because it is a complete strut assembly, it replaces the shock and the strut mount as one unit. Check the package contents on arrival to confirm whether a coil spring is included.

Choosing a front strut
A front strut does two jobs at once: it dampens suspension movement and carries part of the vehicle’s weight as a structural member of the front end. On a work van like the Transit, that load is heavier than on a passenger car, so worn struts can affect steering stability and braking feel as well as ride comfort. Replacing the whole assembly saves the labor of transferring a spring and mount from the old strut, which is one reason many shops choose it when a unit has worn out.
Before fitting, compare the mounts and the strut length with the original unit, and make sure the spring seat sits correctly. Front struts are often replaced in pairs so both sides respond the same way. Expect to check front alignment after the job, and re-check the top nut and bolts after the first short drive.
