Overview
The Bilstein BIL22-268907 is a front left B6 Series suspension strut for the 2009 to 2015 Honda Pilot. It fits the EX, EX-L, LX, SE and Touring models of that generation.
The B6 range uses a gas-charged monotube design. Mount types, overall length and whether a spring is included should be compared with the original strut before ordering.

Front strut service on the Pilot
A midsize SUV like the Pilot carries passengers and cargo, which puts steady load on the front struts. Over time the damper loses control and the upper mount bearing can wear, causing clunks when turning or passing over uneven pavement. Checking the mount alongside the damper gives a complete view of the corner’s condition.
When one front strut is replaced, consider the other side as well. Matching both sides keeps the front end responding evenly in corners and under braking. The steering knuckle and lower bolts should be inspected when the strut comes out, so the new unit seats properly.
- Check the upper strut mount bearing
- Inspect the body for oil seepage
- Look for uneven front tire wear
- Replace both sides if one is worn
