Overview
The Baer Brakes 6910096 is a left-side, 1-piece replacement brake rotor with a slotted, drilled and zinc-plated surface, made for select Baer Brake systems. It is a short hat rotor measuring 12 in outside diameter and 0.81 in nominal thickness, with five studs on a 4.50 in bolt circle.
It is a service part for replacing a left-side disc on a compatible Baer system. The directional design fits the left side only, and the right-side rotor is sold separately. Choosing a replacement rotor
A brake rotor is the metal disc the pads clamp against, so its condition sets how smoothly the vehicle stops. Replacement rotors are usually fitted with new pads, because a worn pad on a fresh face can wear it unevenly. Before buying, measure the hub surface, check the thickness, and look for a minimum thickness marked on the old casting.
Directional rotors need extra care. Check the side marking on the new part against the hub before mounting it, and keep the cooling vanes oriented as the rotor turns. Remove rust from the hub face and pilot area so the rotor sits flat.
