Overview
The ARB CS037R is a leaf spring from ARB 4×4 Accessories, part number CS037R, listed for soft top applications. ARB lists it as a direct fit for the 1987–1995 Jeep Wrangler (YJ), including the Base, Islander, Laredo, Renegade, Rio Grande, S, SE, Sahara and Sport models. The two-stage pack carries the vehicle unladen and adds the secondary stage under load.
The leaves are draw tapered and diamond cut, graphite coated, and shot peened on the tension side. Nylon pads at the tips reduce friction where the load is greatest, and each spring is scragged and load tested.
The YJ is a short-wheelbase Wrangler, and the soft top note in the description tells you which body style this spring is written for. Because the YJ generation spans 1987 to 1995 and several trims, matching the year, model and top style to your vehicle is the surest way to confirm the fit.
The YJ’s short wheelbase and the soft top body style are part of why the description names soft top applications. The two-stage pack, diamond cut leaves and graphite coating are designed for the load range of the YJ, and the shot peened tension side and scragging help the spring keep its set across its service life.
