Overview
The Tuff Country 32900 is a 2-inch front leveling kit with strut spacers for Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks. It raises the front to sit level with the rear, which allows slightly larger tires and removes the factory nose-down rake.
It suits trucks that did not come with a factory lift. Shocks are optional. It is designed to keep a factory or near-factory ride.
Key features
- 2-inch front lift
- Strut spacer lift method
- Shocks are optional
- Steel spacers with a black finish
- Direct fit, front lift only
Shocks and strut spacers
Strut spacers raise the front by sitting between the strut and its upper mount, which lengthens the strut assembly. Because the shock is part of that assembly, its travel and fit change as well. Choosing whether to add new shocks depends on how much height is added and how the existing shocks are holding up.
Look at the upper mounts, bump stops and the bolts that hold the spacers, and tighten them to the vehicle’s specified torque after the first few drives. Steel spacers resist bending under load, so inspect the spacer edges and the strut bore for cracks or galling as part of routine checks. Schedule an alignment once the height is set.
- Check upper strut mount nuts after the first drives
- Inspect bump stops for wear or contact
- Look for leaking or worn front shocks
- Confirm the alignment after the height change
