Overview
The Rigid Industries Ignite LED spot light in black, part number 20611, is a small round auxiliary light with a focused spot beam in a flush mount housing. It is a compact member of the Ignite range.
The compact housing and low current draw are the two points Rigid stresses for use on cars, trucks, motorcycles, UTVs and marine craft. This is the spot pattern version within the Ignite range.
Key features
- 1000 raw lumens output as stated by Rigid
- Spot beam pattern
- Compact housing with flush mounting
- Low current draw for action sport use
Flush mounts and spot beams
A flush mount sits level with the panel it is fitted into, which keeps the profile low and reduces the chance of the light catching brush. The fit depends on the panel thickness, the cutout and access behind the surface, so measure before drilling. A spot pattern concentrates light into a narrow beam for distance, which helps on open trails or long dark roads.
Wiring a flush light means routing the cable through the panel without chafing and sealing the entry point. Use a fuse on the power feed and a switch that is easy to reach. Good ground contact keeps the light steady and avoids dimming, so clean the mounting metal before fitting.
Check the seal and lens after rough runs or washing. Water inside the housing or a clouded lens lowers output and can damage the LEDs. Clean the lens with mild soap and water and recheck the fasteners after the first few trips.
