Greasing and front joint care
Front axle U-joints work under steering angle as well as drive torque, so they wear faster in areas with heavy off-road use. A joint with a grease fitting can be purged of water and dirt, which extends the life of the bearing caps. Pump grease until fresh grease appears at the cap seals, and wipe away the excess.
