Description

Overview

The Baer Brakes 6910126 is a one-piece, full cast left-side replacement brake rotor with a slotted, drilled and zinc-plated surface. It measures 12.79 inches in outside diameter and 1.255 inches thick, and it is made for certain Baer Track4, SS4 and other Baer Brake systems.

The rotor uses a 5-hole, 4.75-inch stud or lug pattern with a 2.783-inch center hole, and its overall height is 1.799 inches. Because it is directional, the left ring installs on the left side of the vehicle only. The grade type is Performance.

Key features

  • One-piece, full cast construction
  • Slotted, drilled and zinc-plated friction surface
  • Curved vane design for optimum cooling
  • Dynamically balanced for vibration-free performance
  • Casting engineered for rotor stability and resistance to distortion
  • Vented cast iron body with a Performance grade type

Hub fit and center bore

The center bore of a rotor is meant to seat on the hub pilot, which centers the ring before the lug nuts are tightened. Confirm that the hub pilot diameter matches the 2.783-inch center hole, and that the hub face is clean and free of rust before the rotor goes on. A rotor that sits off-center can cause vibration under braking.

Use the lug hardware and torque sequence that suit the hub, and check runout with a dial indicator when the rotor is mounted if you have one. Full cast rotors are heavy, so lift and support them carefully during mounting. Bed in new pads after installation, and recheck lug torque after the first few stops.

  • Clean the hub face before mounting
  • Check that the pilot fits the center hole
  • Confirm rotor runout before final torque

Installation notes

Check the 2.783-inch center hole against your hub’s pilot diameter before the rotor goes on. Directional rotors only work correctly on their own side of the vehicle, so this left ring stays on the left.

Questions & Answers

What are the key dimensions of Baer part 6910126?

The rotor measures 12.79 inches in outside diameter and 1.255 inches thick. It has a 5-hole, 4.75-inch stud or lug pattern, a 2.783-inch center hole and an overall height of 1.799 inches.

Which Baer systems is this rotor made for?

Confirm fit for your vehicle's year, model and trim before ordering. Compare the 5-hole, 4.75-inch pattern and the 2.783-inch center hole with your hub's pilot diameter, since both must match before the rotor is installed.

Is this a one-piece or two-piece rotor?

It is a one-piece, full cast rotor. Its construction is full cast in one piece, and it is directional, so it is built for the left side of the vehicle only and must stay on that side.

How can I tell if the rotor needs replacing?

Look for thickness below the wear limit, deep grooves, cracks, or a pulsing pedal during braking. Measure thickness at several points around the friction surface. Replace the rotor when it is worn or damaged, and replace the opposite rotor on the same axle as well.
