Overview
The Baer Brakes 54111-220 is a pair of rear Claw performance rotors with a slot-only friction surface, sized for 2004–2011 Ford F-150 trucks including Harley-Davidson Edition, Lariat, STX, XL and XLT trims. The rotors are zinc plated and sold as a set for the rear position.
The slot-only face allows gases and dust to escape from between the pad and rotor during braking, which supports a steadier pedal feel and reduced brake fade. The vanes are designed for cooling and durability. The zinc-plated finish suits open center wheels.

Rotor wear and replacement
A slot-only face keeps the pad surface open to channels that clear gas and debris, which helps maintain contact under hard use. Over time the friction surface still wears, and grooves or a blue tint from overheating show the rotor is working hard. Check the rotor face and outer edge for lip buildup whenever the pads are changed.
Thickness is the main wear check. Measure the rotor at several points around the braking track and compare the reading with the discard thickness. A rotor that has worn below that figure should be replaced, because thin rotors overheat and can crack.
Clean the hub face and remove any rust before mounting a new rotor, so it sits flat and runs true. Torque the lug nuts in a star pattern and re-check them after the first few drives. Use a suitable brake lubricant on the hub contact area, never on the friction surface.

Installation notes
