Mounting a light on a bar
A light mount holds its load through clamps or brackets, and vibration is the main thing working against it. Make sure the clamp fits the bar diameter before tightening, and fit the light so its weight sits on the bracket rather than on the wiring. Aim the light after the mount is fully tightened so it does not shift as the bolts settle.
Route wiring away from moving parts, hot components and sharp edges, and secure it with clips at regular intervals. Check the mount after the first few rides, and again after rough trail sections. Look for cracks at the bracket, worn clamp faces and any change in aim.
