Overview
The Smittybilt JB48-FT is a 3 inch front double tube bumper with a hoop, finished in textured black, for 2-door and 4-door Jeeps. Smittybilt describes its tubular Jeep bumpers as custom crafted to fit the Jeep.
The bumpers are built from stainless steel tube in a one-piece design and robotically welded for durability on and off the road. Pre-cut vertical uprights add styling. The bumper has a powder coat finish and installs without drilling. It comes with a 5-year limited warranty.

Protection bumpers versus winch bumpers
A front bumper protects the grille, radiator and headlights from brush and rock strikes. A hoop adds a point of protection along the top of the bumper and gives some support for light mounts. The bumper’s job is protection first, so a model without a winch mount suits owners who do not plan to pull a vehicle from the front.
Choose the bumper with the mounting needs of your build in mind. If you later add a winch, a winch-ready model will be easier to set up than adding plates to a protection-only bumper. Check the factory hardware and wiring before fitting lights, and confirm the hood and grille still open and close freely.
