Lift block installation considerations
A lift block sits between the axle and the spring pack, raising the axle without changing the spring itself. Because the spring rate stays the same, the ride feels close to stock, though the axle angle and driveline angle change. That is why blocks are generally used with care on rear axles, and why the rest of the rear suspension should be checked after the change.
Choose U-bolts that match the axle diameter, the block and the spring pack, and tighten them evenly after the install. Recheck the nuts after the first few drives, and inspect the blocks for cracks or shifting. Plan for the change in driveline and brake line length, and confirm the rear axle is spring-over before buying.
