Overview
The MagnaFlow 14866 is a stainless steel straight-through street performance muffler with tips, built for high-tech street or race imports. It is a universal fit design, so vehicle years, makes and models do not come into the choice.
The muffler is tuned for import engines to support flow and performance and to produce a smooth, deep tone. Tip and body options let owners choose the look that suits their style.
Key features
- Straight-through design for high flow
- Stainless steel construction
- Tuned for import engine use
- Tip and body options for appearance
- Centered inlet and centered outlet
Tip care and inspection
Tips take the most heat-related stress at the outlet and can change color over time. Clean them with mild soap and a soft cloth, and avoid abrasive pads that scratch the finish. Inspect the tip mount at each service so that it stays square and secure, since a shifted tip can rub the bumper and wear the finish.
Stainless steel generally resists corrosion well, but welds and fasteners deserve attention. A tip that wobbles or rattles can point to a loose clamp or a cracked seam. Tighten fasteners that are reachable, and have a shop inspect any joint that shows movement before the problem spreads.
- Clean tips with mild soap
- Check tip mounts at each service
- Watch for rattles at idle
