Overview
The Fab Fours JK07-G1250-1 black rock sliders are formed-plate rocker guards for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK four-door. They act as a side bumper that protects the rocker panel, with 3/16-inch formed body construction and a vertical plate that follows the radius of the JK body.
The sliders tie in to the body mounts and to 15 places per side on the body to protect the rocker panel. They use a full length TIG weld down the flange, with no corners cut in the build.

Body work and rocker protection
Rock sliders take the strikes that would otherwise reach the rocker panel and door sills. On rocky trails they help keep the body intact, and the top surface can also serve as a step when getting in and out. Because the guard is part of the body protection, its mounting points deserve as much attention as the guard itself.
Drilling into a body panel is a permanent step. Before cutting, hold the guard in position, mark the centers, and check the clearance to fuel lines, wiring and the rear body mounts. After installation, inspect the welds and mounting points periodically, and touch up any bare metal to slow corrosion.
